Charles Follis Day
July 18, 2018
Earlier this year, ROAR Ambassador Aneesa McGregor joined Jim Stoner for proponent testimony before the Ohio Senate Subcommittee seeking a day to honor Charles Follis.
Charles Follis, the country's first Black professional football player, was known as "The Black Cyclone." It's also the name of the play Jim Stoner wrote in his honor.
This week, Gov. John Kasich signed legislation designating Feb. 3 as Charles Follis Day.
Way to go, Aneesa and Jim!!
