North End Voter Checklist
2018 is a mid-term election year. There are candidates running for offices at the Federal, State, and Local levels. Featured below is a checklist to help you navigate the upcoming election season.
Register to Vote
- You must register to vote by October 9, 2018 to qualify for the General Election
- If you have moved you must update your address by filling out a new Voter Registration Form.
- Haven’t voted in a while? – Make sure you are still registered in Richland County by clicking here
Early In-Person and Absentee Voting
If you are unable to vote at a polling location on the day of the General Election, November 6, 2018, you are eligible to Absentee Vote by Mail or vote Early In-Person at the Richland County Board of Elections.
- How to Vote with an Absentee Ballot
- You fill out the Absentee Ballot Application and mail it to the Richland County Board of Elections – Click Here for the Application
- Wait to receive your ballot in the mail.
- Fill out ballot and return via mail or in person to the Richland County Board of Elections.
- Ballots must be received by 7:30 p.m. on November 6 in order to be counted.
- How to Vote Early In-Person
- Starting October 10, you can go to the Richland County Board of Elections and request and vote an absentee ballot in person.
Preparing for Election Day Voting
- On Election Day, Polling Locations are open from 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
- Identification Requirements
- When you arrive at your polling location you are expected to announce your full name and current address and offer proof of identity
- Proof of Identity includes, an unexpired Ohio Driver’s license, a current utility bill, bank statement, government check and more. Click Here for a full list of forms of identification.
